About Us

Writing House Tutors is a tutoring service that works with students at the high-school, university, and college level exclusively on essay writing within the liberal arts realm. All applicable subjects within this academic domain can be approached and tackled by our tutors. This is our unique area of specialization and we feel this sets us apart from other tutoring providers that often take a broader approach and tend to offer a wide range of unrelated services. Note that while the majority of our clientele seek our services in relation to their studies, we are happy to also offer our services to any individuals looking to improve their writing or their English-speaking skills for their own personal growth.

Essay writing can often feel like a complex and overwhelming undertaking for many individuals and we are in a position to cater to clients’ needs at whatever stage they are at in this process. We offer three options for our clients the first being an editing service where no verbal or written correspondence is required beyond the submission of a draft and essay instructions for review by a tutor. Next, we do offer both in-person and virtual sessions where a dialogue can be had between client and tutor to address a wide array of topics. Daniel Steinhart is the Founder of Writing House Tutors and, for many years, has had a passion for working with students and individuals of all ages and focuses in the specialized area of essay writing within the liberal arts domain. Daniel holds two Masters Degrees in philosophy and social work and also enjoys writing both fiction and non-fiction for pleasure in his spare time. Daniel is a certified ESL teacher and has had the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, and adults in Canada and abroad on improving English speaking skills that can be translated to writing.

Over the years, Daniel has done a great deal of one-on-one tutoring on a vast array of different academic subjects as well as other focus areas. Daniel finds this work truly rewarding and has a passion for seeing individuals improve and witnessing first-hand what they can accomplish with a little bit of effort. Daniel is versatile in being able to cater to individual needs as a tutor and understands that there is a vast array of areas in which individuals require support in the area of essay writing. Daniel founded Writing House Tutors as he wanted to expand his reach and provide a service with a narrow focus and mission that can benefit writers of all kinds and in different locations around the world.

At Writing House Tutors, we believe that anybody can become a great writer. We are in tune with the fact that everyone writes in different ways and has their own strengths and areas for improvement. We believe strongly that the path to becoming a great writer can be extensive and that even the greatest of writers look for ways to get better. With that said, we do not gear our services to one kind of writer or one particular level of writing. Rather, we look for opportunities to help any student or writer reach their goals despite how they see themselves and evaluate their own writing.

We also believe that growing as a writer has great benefits outside the classroom and, whether you are seeking help in a course or simply looking to improve writing skills outside the classroom, working with us can be a great opportunity for growth and development as you continue on your journey. Writing House Tutors aims to provide a range of options to clients as some may only prefer to have their work reviewed without a focused dialogue with a tutor while others may want to benefit from the tools a dialogue can offer. We therefore are determined to assist writers with their unique and specific needs and we are proud to be able to guide and support in any way we can.

At Writing House Tutors, we adhere to a high moral standard. Therefore, please be aware of the following with regard to the services that we offer:

• We will not compose any new content for any students receiving help with a course. We would be more than happy to answer any client questions as pertains to this. Note that we are there to guide and support but will not complete any assignments or aspects of assignments for students.
• If a student receiving help with a course wishes to compose any content with the help of a tutor being present, the student will be expected to take the lead entirely. By that, the tutor will be there to guide but will not tell the student specifically what to write and will expect complete clarity, understanding, and comprehension on the part of the student.
• With regard to the issue of plagiarism, tutors offering editing services will scan all drafts on Turnitin and subsequently provide a report to the student that assesses any instances of potential plagiarism. If students receiving this service do not make the necessary changes to avoid unacceptable plagiarism, then this will not be the responsibility of the tutor.

With in-person and virtual services, tutors will always inform students of any perceived plagiarism issues and will happily use Turnitin as a tool to support these students. Again, a student’s failure to make the necessary changes prescribed will not be the responsibility of the tutor. Note that part of the job of a tutor is to work with students on proper paraphrasing and using unique wording so as to avoid potential plagiarism. If a student is struggling with these skills, the tutor is there to help.
